Petr Cech tells Man City: It’s perfect the perfect time for Arsenal to play you

Petr Cech looks ahead to Manchester City's clash with Arsenal on Sunday afternoon

Petr Cech believes that it is the perfect time for Arsenal to take on Manchester City.

Cech was unable to prevent Arsenal from slipping to a disappointing 2-1 loss to Everton in the Premier League at Goodison Park on Tuesday night as Arsene Wenger’s men lost their first game in the top flight since August.

Arsenal will be keen to get their Premier League title bid back on track when they travel to The Etihad to take on Manchester City on Sunday afternoon in their final game before Christmas.

And Cech feels that there is no better time for Arsenal to step up and get their campaign back on track against Pep Guardiola’s men.

Speaking to Arsenal’s website after Tuesday night’s defeat, Cech said: “Sometimes I think it is best if after a big game you play another big game.

“You have opportunities to win, it’s a kind of a six-pointer – it’s probably a perfect game for us.”

Arsenal are looking to win the Premier League title for the first time since their famous unbeaten triumph back in the 2003-04 season.
