Phil Jones states his prediction for Everton v Man United

Phil Jones has warned his Manchester United team-mates that they are in for a stern test when they take on Everton in the Premier League at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils head into the game looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after the disappointment of their 1-1 draw against West Ham United last weekend.

United have struggled to find consistent form in the Premier League in recent weeks and have only won one of their last seven games in the top flight.

Everton too have been struggling for form in recent weeks but Jones has warned his Manchester United team-mates that they are in for a tough test on Merseyside.

Speaking in an interview with MUTV, Jones said: “They’re going through a little sticky patch at the moment.

“But it definitely won’t be easy because they’ll want to respond and bounce back from the disappointment of late and they’re against Man United so that’s always an added incentive.

“It’s always tough there. It’s a tight little ground and there’s always a passionate atmosphere. It’s never an easy place to go and win but we had a good performance there last season when we won 3-0 and it was probably our best performance of the season.

“We’ve got to make sure we prepare right and try to quieten the crowd early on and play like we did the other night [against West Ham].”
