Adam Lallana joins Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson at James Milner's charity bash ahead of their trip to Bournemouth

Adam Lallana was in high spirits with Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson and former Southampton team-mate Richard Chaplow on Sunday night ahead of his return to Premier League action.

The attacking midfielder has been sidelined with a groin problem since picking up the injury in the first half of England’s 2-2 draw with Spain at Wembley earlier this month.

Lallana has made a scintillating start to the 2016-17 Premier League season after scoring three goals and making five assists in 11 appearances so far.

The England star missed Liverpool’s goalless stalemate with his former club Southampton before the playmaker sat out their 2-0 win against Sunderland on Saturday afternoon.

However, Lallana appeared to be in good form with Henderson and Chaplow at James Milner’s charity bash on Sunday night.

Lallana posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:

“Fantastic night at the JM7Foundation. A brilliant cause. Great to catch up with my old teammate and close friend @rchap18 too”

Liverpool are in second place in the Premier League table and a point behind leaders Chelsea ahead of their long trip to Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side next Sunday.
