Adam Lallana had the opportunity to sit down with one of his footballing heroes Jamie Redknapp ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Bournemouth on Sunday.
The England midfielder is facing a battle to be fit in time for Liverpool’s clash against Eddie Howe’s Cherries side at the Vitality Stadium this weekend.
Lallana picked up a hamstring problem during the first half of England’s 2-2 draw with Spain in last month’s international friendly at Wembley.
The 28-year-old has been in eye-catching form for the Merseyside outfit in the 2016-17 season so far after a return of three goals and five assists in 10 appearances.
And Lallana sat down for a chat with former Bournemouth and Liverpool midfielder Redknapp ahead of the Premier League clash at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.
Lallana posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
“Great to meet and talk all things footy with Bournemouth’s most famous son as part of Sky Sports coverage for the weekends matches. A player and a person I’ve always looked up to…. making cardigans look cool and doing the South Coast proud.”
The England star moved to Liverpool in a £25m deal from Southampton in the 2014 summer transfer window under Jurgen Klopp’s predecessor Brendan Rodgers.
