Shkodran Mustafi watches Arsenal edge to a 1-0 victory over West Brom at The Emirates on Boxing Day

Shkodran Mustafi cheered on Arsenal from the stands at The Emirates as the Gunners were 1-0 winners against West Bromwich Albion on Monday.

The Germany international is currently sidelined with a muscle injury which the centre-half picked up during a 3-1 win against Bournemouth at The Emirates.

Arsenal lost back-to-back Premier League games in the centre-half’s absence after 2-1 defeats by Everton and Manchester City over the past couple of weeks.

The Gunners started Boxing Day nine points adrift of leaders Chelsea after their disappointing recent run in the Premier League title race.

However, Arsenal returned to winning ways on Monday afternoon thanks to Olivier Giroud’s 86th-minute winner from Mesut Ozil’s cross.

And Mustafi was in the stands at the Emirates Stadium to watch Arsenal edge to an unconvincing victory over West Brom.

Mustafi posted the above photo on Instagram and wrote the following caption:

“🔙🔛🔝 I’m ready for some #BoxingDay action at the Emirates! ⚽⚽⚽ #COYG – let’s go for it! #ARSWBA #PremierLeague #sm20 @arsenal”

Arsenal finished in second place in the Premier League table last term.
