Granit Xhaka was thrilled to have his brother as a special guest at The Emirates as Arsenal eased to a 1-0 win against West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day.

The Gunners made a much-needed return to winning ways on Monday afternoon after Arsenal suffered back-to-back Premier League losses to Everton and Manchester City.

Arsenal started Boxing Day nine points adrift of leaders Chelsea but Arsene Wenger’s side managed to hold their nerve to edge to a 1-0 victory over West Brom at The Emirates.

Mesut Ozil teed up Olivier Giroud in the final four minutes in the north London on the France international’s first Premier League start of the 2016-17 season.

Xhaka was thrilled to have his brother Taulant at the Emirates Stadium as the Basel midfielder returned to the Premier League ground as a fan after successive defeats to Arsenal in the Champions League group stage.

The summer signing posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:

“👉A super game! A well-deserved victory fought to the last whistle blow. The best Christmas present for the fans three points.

“Thank you for your support, always wonderful. Greetings to my brother who was a special guest in the stadium today.”
