Bastian Schweinsteiger is keeping himself in high spirits despite his lack of first-team football at Manchester United

Bastian Schweinsteiger appeared to be in good spirits as Manchester United completed their final preparations for Sunday’s showdown with Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

The German midfielder could be forgiven for feeling frustrated about his situation at Manchester United this season.

The veteran midfielder has found his first team opportunities at Old Trafford severely restricted since Jose Mourinho was appointed as the club’s new manager in the summer.

Indeed, the 32-year-old has only made one appearances for United this season when he came on as a substitute in the League Cup.

However, the World Cup winner looks happy to be getting down to business and staying focused in the build-up to Manchester United’s Premier League showdown with Tottenham on Sunday.

Schweinsteiger shared the photo above on his personal Instagram account and simply wrote the caption: “⚽️️ 👍🏼 #mufc”
