Bastian Schweinsteiger is not letting his lack of first-team football at Manchester United get him down

Bastian Schweinsteiger seems not to be letting his lack of first-team football at Manchester United this season get him down.

The German midfielder has found his first-team opportunities severely restricted this season following the appointment of Jose Mourinho as the club’s new manager in the summer.

Indeed, the 32-year-old is yet to make a single appearance in the Premier League for Manchester United and has been limited to one late run-out for the Red Devils in the League Cup this term.

But the World Cup winner appears to be keeping himself in good spirits despite his lack of football this season.

Ahead of Manchester United’s trip to West Brom on Saturday evening, Schweinsteiger posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “In training with @iamzlatanibrahimovic, @waynerooney and @juanmatagarcia! ⚽”

It remains to be seen whether Schweinsteiger could seek a move away from Manchester United in the January transfer window in search of regular first-team football.
