Cesc Fabregas has urged Chelsea to maintain their winning run after Saturday’s 3-1 victory at Manchester City.
The Spain international was handed a rare starting spot in Antonio Conte’s side following Nemanja Matic’s injury.
Fabregas was making his first Premier League start since Chelsea’s 3-0 loss to his former club Arsenal at The Emirates in September.
The Blues won seven games on the bounce following that defeat in north London ahead of their top of the table clash on Saturday afternoon.
And Fabregas justified his inclusion in the Chelsea’s manager’s starting XI after he teed up Diego Costa for the visitors’ 60th-minute equaliser after Gary Cahill scored an own goal in the first half.
Willian and Eden Hazard scored goals on the break in the final 20 minutes to seal three points for the Premier League leaders and extend their winning run to eight top-flight fixtures.
Fabregas took to his Instagram page to post the above photo and send a message to the Chelsea supporters following their impressive 3-1 win:
“Oh boy, i’ve missed this feeling! Let’s keep it up!”
