Cesc Fabregas reached a Premier League milestone on Saturday, and was quick to point it out on social media
Cesc Fabregas has taken to social media to deliver his reaction to helping Chelsea secure a thrilling 4-2 win over Stoke City in the Premier League as the Blues maintained their winning run.
The 29-year-old Spanish midfielder played 73 minutes at Stamford Bridge and notched up two assists in a sparkling display for Antonio Conte’s men.
Former Arsenal captain Fabregas notched up his 100th Premier League assist during the game, becoming the fastest player to reach the milestone in only 293 appearances.
There had been questions about Fabregas’ role in the Chelsea team under Antonio Conte this season but the Spaniard has delivered whenever called upon by the Blues boss.
And the former Barcelona star used his personal Instagram account to reveal his delight at helping Chelsea collect three points, but also at reaching the assists landmark.
Fabregas posted the picture above on the app and wrote the caption: “What a great way to end the year! A big win, 13 games in a row winning and becoming the quickest player in the premier league history to reach 100 assists.
“I wish you all a happy and healthy new year! 🎉🎉”
Chelsea are currently flying high at the top of the table after winning their last 13 games in the Premier League.
