John Terry singles out Nathan Ake for special praise after Bournemouth's 4-3 win against Liverpool
John Terry singled out Nathan Ake for special praise after the Bournemouth defender scored an added-time winner in a 4-3 victory over Liverpool at the Vitality Stadium.
The Reds eased into a commanding 2-0 lead ahead of half-time thanks to goals from Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Divock Origi on the south coast.
However, Bournemouth were handed a lifeline when James Milner brought down Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson dispatched the subsequent penalty.
Liverpool restored their two-goal cushion eight minutes later through Emre Can but Bournemouth responded with a quick-fire double.
Fraser finished from close range before Bournemouth defender Steve Cook levelled the Premier League clash with an impressive finish.
Ake moved to Bournemouth on a season-long loan from Premier League leaders Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
And the Cherries centre-half did his parent club a huge favour with an added-time winner against their title rivals Liverpool.
Chelsea skipper Terry took to Instagram to praise Ake’s attitude and performance after Bournemouth’s memorable 4-3 win.
Terry wrote: “Congratulations @nathanake ⚽️ Great young player with a great attitude 👊🏻”
