Marcos Alonso takes to social media to thank Chelsea fans for their support after he turned 26 on Wednesday

Marcos Alonso took to social media to thank Chelsea’s fans for their support after he celebrated his 26th birthday this week.

The Spanish defender has been a regular fixture in the Blues’ first team this season following his arrival at the club in the summer transfer window.

The defender has made 13 Premier League appearances for Antonio Conte’s men this term to help the Blues build a six-point lead at the top of the table.

Indeed, the west London side have won their last 12 games in a row in the top flight to firmly establish themselves as the favourites to win the title this season.

And Alonso was clearly pleased to be celebrating his birthday on Wednesday as he blew out the candles on his cake and sent a message to Chelsea supporters.

Alonso shared the photo above on Instagram and wrote the caption: “The best is yet to come. Thank u so much for all the messages!”
