Marcos Alonso took to social media to congratulate Pedro after Chelsea's 3-0 win over Bournemouth

Marcos Alonso took to social media to salute Pedro after the Spaniard helped to fire Chelsea to a 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Boxing Day at Stamford Bridge.

The former Barcelona star was in fine form as he opened the scoring in the 24th minute in west London to send Chelsea on their way towards victory against the Cherries.

Eden Hazard scored Chelsea’s second from the penalty spot, before Pedro’s shot hit Steve Cook and the ball span over the line late on to make it 3-0.

The win was Chelsea’s 12th in a row in the Premier League and kept Antonio Conte’s men as the firm favourites to win the title this season.

And Alonso, who joined Chelsea in the summer transfer window, was quick to heap praise on Pedro after the win on Monday afternoon.

Alonso shared the photo above on his personal Instagram account after the game and wrote the caption: “Very happy with the 12th win in a row! My brother @_pedro17_ on fire 🔥 ! #BoxingDay #StamfordBridge #CHEBOU @chelseafc ”
