David Luiz has taken to social media to reveal his delight at catching up with Andrea Pirlo at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground on Friday.

The Italy legend paid a visit to Chelsea’s training base as the Blues continued their preparations for their Premier League clash against the Baggies at Stamford Bridge.

Pirlo posed for pictures with the first team as he looked around the west London club’s Cobham training complex.

And Luiz was clearly thrilled to meet the midfielder on Friday in the build-up to Sunday’s Premier League game.

Luiz posed the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Some players should be playing forever! Idol for many generations! 👊🏻 @andreapirlo21”

Chelsea head into the game on Sunday against the Baggies knowing that a win will keep them top of the Premier League table.
