Dele Alli takes to social media to praise Tottenham for their display in their 4-1 win over Southampton

Dele Alli has taken to social media to praise Tottenham for their performance after they thrashed Southampton 4-1 on Wednesday night to keep their top-four bid on track.

Alli scored twice to add to goals from Harry Kane and Son Heung-min as Spurs produced a strong performance on the south coast to boost their Premier League hopes.

Tottenham are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table and a point behind fourth-placed Arsenal heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures.

Spurs will travel to Watford in their next Premier League table on New Year’s Day as they look to continue their solid form in the top flight.

And Alli revealed his delight at helping the Lilywhites claim all three points against Southampton ahead of their clash with the Hornets this weekend.

Alli posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Strong performance from the boys, roll on sunday #COYS #NeverFollow 👋🏽 ⚽”
