John Terry snapped a selfie with Diego Costa as the Chelsea pair prepared for training while the rest of Antonio Conte’s squad were granted a day off on Tuesday.

The Blues were without Costa for the visit of Bournemouth on Boxing Day as the Spain international served a one-game ban, while Terry is still recovering from a buttock injury.

However, the west London side were 3-0 winners against the Cherries thanks to Pedro’s strike either side of half-time and Eden Hazard netted his ninth Premier League goal from the penalty spot.

Chelsea’s landslide victory over Eddie Howe’s side was their 12th successive Premier League victory to leave the Blues clear of their title rivals after 18 games.

Terry was clearly looking forward to training with Costa on Tuesday afternoon as Conte’s players who were involved in their Boxing Day fixture were granted a day off from training.

The Chelsea captain posted the above selfie on his Instagram page and Terry wrote the following caption:

“Training with @diego.costa 🏃🏻💨 Enjoy your day off boys @chelseafc”
