The Liverpool midfielder wants Jurgen Klopp's side to bounce back from their 4-3 loss to Bournemouth
Emre Can has urged his team-mates to prove that Liverpool haven’t lost any of their confidence despite last weekend’s 4-3 loss to Bournemouth.
The Germany international managed to restore Liverpool’s two-goal cushion on the south coast with a powerful strike after Callum Wilson’s penalty halved the deficit following first-half strikes from Sadio Mane and Divock Origi.
However, Jurgen Klopp’s defence collapsed in the final 16 minutes of their Premier League clash at the Vitality Stadium as Nathan Ake netted the winner in added time to secure a 4-3 victory over Liverpool for the first time in Bournemouth’s history.
Liverpool are in third place in the Premier League table and three points adrift of leaders Chelsea after their disappointing defeat.
Klopp has taken his players to Spain for a warm weather training camp this week ahead of Liverpool’s home clash against West Ham United on Saturday evening.
Former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Can issued a rallying cry ahead of the Hammers clash.
Can posted the above photo and wrote on his Instagram page: “The loss was a punch in our face. But we will come back even stronger than before! We’ll prove that Liverpool FC may lose a match, but never the belief in ourselves.#YNWA #EC23 #Fight #Football #WorkHarder #HeadsUp”
