The Manchester United defend sends a message to the club's supporters after returning to the bench on Sunday
Eric Bailly has expressed his delight to make his return to the match-day squad despite Manchester United’s disappointing 1-1 stalemate with Everton on Sunday.
The Red Devils appeared to easing to a much-needed Premier League victory after Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s first-half strike at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.
However, Manchester United substitute Marouane Fellaini brought down Idrissa Gueye to hand Seamus Coleman the chance to equalise from the penalty spot in the 89th minute.
Bailly was named on the substitutes’ bench as the Ivory Coast international edges closer to a return to Premier League action after his knee injury.
And Manchester United summer signing Bailly took to Instagram to post the above photo and write the following caption:
“Gutted to not have been able to reach a better result against @Everton, but happy to be back and able to help my team when needed. My thoughts to the victims of the @ChapecoenseReal accident. ”
Bailly moved to Manchester United in a £30m deal from La Liga outfit Villarreal in the summer transfer window.
The African defender impressed in Jose Mourinho’s side before picking up a serious knee problem in October.
