Gary Cahill has taken to social media to thank his fans for their support after he celebrated his 31st birthday on Monday.

The Chelsea defender has been a regular fixture in the Blues’ starting line-up this season under new boss Antonio Conte and has been a key part in the club’s strong run in the Premier League.

Cahill has scored one goal in 17 Premier League starts for Chelsea this season to help Conte’s men top the Premier League table over Christmas.

Chelsea have been the Premier League’s most consistent performers this season, with the Blues having won their last 11 games on the spin to leave them six points clear at the top.

Cahill has been a regular and important fixture in the Chelsea team in recent weeks.

And the England international looked happy to have some time off to put his feet up and enjoy his birthday on Monday.

Cahill posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Had a great birthday today. Thank you to everyone for the kind messages 🎉.”
