Granit Xhaka has his say on Arsenal's victory over Stoke City at The Emirates on Saturday

Granit Xhaka took to social media to reveal his delight at helping Arsenal secure a 3-1 win over Stoke City on Saturday, despite conceding a penalty during the game.

The visitors took the lead in the first half at The Emirates when Xhaka was penalised for catching Joe Allen in the box, as Charlie Adam stepped up to convert the resulting penalty.

However, Arsenal fought their way back into the game and Theo Walcott equalised before the break. Goals from Mesut Ozil and Alex Iwobi then wrapped up the three points and sent Arsenal to the top of the Premier League temporarily.

Xhaka has earned praise for his performances since his arrival at Arsenal in the summer from Borussia Monchengladbach, but the midfielder’s temperament has also been called into question.

But the midfielder made no reference to the penalty he conceded as he reacted to Saturday’s victory on social media.

Xhaka posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption:”A fantastic comeback today. Nothing to say more! 💪 ★★★ ⚓#GX29 @PremierLeague @Arsenal @Stoke City #IWILL #UnderArmour”
