Manchester United's players were quickly refuelling after their dramatic 2-1 win over Middlesbrough at Old Trafford

Ander Herrera and Henrikh Mkhitaryan posed for a picture as they celebrated Manchester United’s dramatic 2-1 win over Middlesbrough with a meal at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils came from a goal down to claim all three points thanks to goals from Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba at Old Trafford.

It was Manchester United’s fifth win on the spin in the Premier League and left the Red Devils heading into 2017 in good form in the top flight.

And Herrera was joined by Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata, Marcos Rojo and David De Gea for a spot of dinner as the Red Devils prepared to ring in the new year.

Herrera posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “The best way to finish 2016 , great win lads ! Now is time to take some energy for Monday 🔴⚽️🔴⚽️ @manchesterunited”

Manchester United are looking to climb the Premier League table but still trail Premier League leaders Chelsea by 13 points heading into 2017.

The Red Devils finished fifth and won the FA Cup last season.
