Oscar takes to social media to pay tribute to Chelsea's fans after his January move to Shanghai SIPG was confirmed

Oscar has taken to social media to pay tribute to Chelsea’s fans and thank them for their support after his January transfer to China was confirmed on Friday.

The Brazilian playmaker is set to swap Chelsea for Shanghai SIPG when the January transfer window opens next month.

It is a move which has raised eyebrows amongst many fans, due to the fact that Oscar is only 25 and is widely regarded to have the prime of his career ahead of him.

However, the Brazil international was quick to thank Chelsea fans for their support after the news of the transfer was confirmed on Friday morning.

Oscar posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “I want to thank @chelseafc the owner and all the employees who have made my time at the club so special.

“A very special thank you to the Chelsea fans you guys a very special and I am honoured to have been a part of your club we have won some special titles together the UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE, the LEAGUE CUP and of course PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS !!!! You will always have a special place in my heart 💙”

Chelsea are set to take on Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day as the Blues look to make it 12 wins in a row in the Premier League.

The Blues are the heavy favourites to win the title this season and are currently six points clear of second-placed Liverpool in the table.
