Philippe Coutinho was all smiles with his wife Aine as he continues to work on his fitness levels

Liverpool fans will be hoping to see Philippe Coutinho back on the pitch in the coming weeks, and the playmaker seems to be in high spirits as he works on his fitness levels.

The Brazilian playmaker is currently sidelined with an ankle injury but is now thought to be closing in on a return to action for the Merseyside outfit as the hectic festive period in the Premier League looms large.

Liverpool are currently preparing to host Stoke City at Anfield on 27 December as they look to continue their strong form in the Premier League.

The Reds head into the hectic festive period six points behind leaders Chelsea and in second place in the Premier League table.

And Coutinho seems to be keeping himself in good spirits away from football as he continues to work on his recovery.

Coutinho shared the picture above of himself on social media posing for a snap with his wife Aine and wrote the caption: “💯✅❤️”
