Philippe Coutinho enjoyed some time at home over Christmas as the Liverpool playmaker continues his recovery from injury

Philippe Coutinho looked to be in high spirits as he enjoyed Christmas at home ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Stoke City on Tuesday night.

The Brazilian playmaker has been sidelined with an ankle injury in recent weeks and has been a big miss for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Coutinho has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s top attacking talents since his arrival at Liverpool from Inter Milan in January 2013.

However, the playmaker has been forced to endure a considerable spell on the sidelines with his latest injury setback.

Coutinho spent Christmas Day at home with his wife Aine and their young child and seemed to be in good spirits as he took some time away from his rehabilitation.

Coutinho posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “We wish a Merry Christmas 🎁🎄”
