Roberto Firmino was a happy man after helping Liverpool notch up the three points against Everton

Roberto Firmino has taken to social media to reveal his delight at helping Liverpool claim a dramatic 1-0 victory over Everton in Monday night’s Merseyside derby clash at Goodison Park.

The game looked to be heading towards a 0-0 draw on Merseyside, with chances few and far between for both sides.

However, Sadio Mane netted the winner deep into stoppage time to claim the three points for Jurgen Klopp’s men and haul them up to second place in the table.

The result left Liverpool six points behind Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title as the hectic festive period in the Premier League looms large.

And Firmino was clearly thrilled to play his part in helping Liverpool notch up the three points against the Toffees.

Firmino posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Siiiiimmm💪🏼 great win boys #ynwa 🔴⚪️”
