Shkodran Mustafi is working hard on his fitness levels as he bids to return to action for Arsenal as soon as possible
Shkodran Mustafi has taken to Instagram to provide Arsenal with a much-needed fitness boost after their 2-1 loss to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
The Germany international is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury that the centre-half suffered in the first half of Arsenal’s 3-1 win against Bournemouth at The Emirates.
Mustafi has missed Arsenal’s 2-1 losses to Everton and Manchester City in the Premier League over the past week to leave the north London side’s title bid in doubt.
The 24-year-old has established a promising partnership with France defender Laurent Koscielny since his £35m move to Arsenal from La Liga side Valencia in the summer.
Arsenal will host West Bromwich Albion at The Emirates on Boxing Day as Arsene Wenger’s side look to make a much-needed return to winning ways.
And Mustafi looks to be on the mend after he posted the above clip on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
“🔙🔛🔝 Nothing worth having comes easy. So let’s put in some extra hours at the gym! 👊🏼🏋 #work #comebackstronger #sm20”
The Gunners are in fourth place in the Premier League table.
