The midfielder moved to Arsenal from the German side during the summer transfer window but was never given a chance to say goodbye to the club’s fans due to his participation in Euro 2016 with Switzerland.

Xhaka was all smiles as he waved to supporters of the German club as he was given a chance to bring down the curtain on his time with the Bundesliga side.

The Switzerland international has been a regular fixture in the Arsenal team so far this season following his move and has already notched up 14 Premier League appearances for the north London side this term.

Xhaka will be hoping to help Arsenal get back to winning ways in the Premier League when the Gunners host West Brom at The Emirates on Boxing Day.

The north London side have lost their last two games 2-1 to Manchester City and Everton.
