The Gunners were on top for long spells in the first half but failed to find the crucial second goal.

City then drew level shortly after half-time when Leroy Sane slotted home from close range.

Arsenal looked subdued after conceding and then fell behind when Raheem Sterling swept home to put City in front.

And Morgan took to social media to discuss Arsenal’s performance as the home side clawed their way back into the game.

Former Daily Mirror editor and celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan tweeted:

The defeat was Arsenal’s second within a week following their 2-1 loss to Everton at Goodison Park last Tuesday night.

The Gunners must now dust themselves down and prepare for their home clash against West Brom on Boxing Day.
