Piers Morgan reacts to Arsenal’s draw against Bayern Munich in Champions League on Twitter
The outspoken Arsenal shareholder can't quite believe Arsene Wenger's lack of luck in the Champions League
Piers Morgan has taken to Twitter to bemoan Arsene Wenger’s poor fortune in the Champions League after Arsenal were pitted against Bayern Munich in the last 16.
The Gunners were rewarded for topping Champions League Group A with a trip to Bayern in the first leg of their last-16 clash at the Allianz Arena.
Arsenal managed to hoist themselves to the top of Group A last week after the Gunners were 4-1 winners against Basel in Switzerland while Paris Saint-Germain were relegated to runners-up spot after a 2-2 draw with Ludorogets.
The north London side have failed to reach the Champions League quarter-finals since 2010 after crashing out at the last-16 stage in the past six years.
Arsenal lost to Bayern Munich in the round of 16 in 2013 and 2014 amid growing frustrations amongst the club’s supporters over their lack of progress in Europe.
Outspoken Arsenal shareholder Morgan was left stunned after the Gunners received a tough Champions League draw on Monday morning.
Only Wenger could win the group & still draw Bayern Munich. Unbelievable. #afc
