Pundit claims this Man United signing has made the difference

Matt Le Tissier has been very impressed by Henrikh Mkhitaryan's displays for Manchester United of late

Matt Le Tissier believes that Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s recent good form has prompted an improvement from Manchester United.

The Armenia international suffered a difficult start to life at Old Trafford following his transfer to the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

The playmaker struggled for form and fitness but has since broken back into Jose Mourinho’s side and produced some promising displays for the Red Devils.

Manchester United have endured a stuttering start to the season since Mourinho’s appointment as the club’s new manager back in May.

However, Le Tissier believes that recent improvements shown by the Red Devils have been in part down to Mkhitaryan’s displays.

Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon, Le Tissier said: “There have been improvements in the last few games.

“There seems to be a little bit more cohesion and it seems to have coincided with Mkhitaryan coming in. He’s done well.

“I think he [Mourinho] probably does know his best side but he’s got injuries to contend with. Has he had a chance to put that best side out this season? I’m not quite sure.”
