Ray Parlour makes bold prediction about Arsenal ahead of Chelsea clash

The Arsenal legend is confident Arsene Wenger's side can go on a winning run in their next five games

Ray Parlour is confident that Arsenal can win their next five Premier League games ahead of their clash against Chelsea on 4 February.

The Gunners ended a two-game losing run on Boxing Day thanks to a 1-0 win against West Bromwich Albion after Olivier Giroud’s 86th-minute winner at The Emirates.

Arsenal had lost to Everton and title rivals Manchester City in their previous two Premier League fixtures on the road ahead of the visit of the Baggies.

The north London side are in fourth place in the Premier League table and nine points adrift of leaders Chelsea after 18 games in the 2016-17 campaign.

Arsenal will host Crystal Palace on New Year’s Day before they take on Bournemouth and Swansea City in back-to-back away games before the Gunners return to action at The Emirates with home clashes against Burnley and Watford.

Arsene Wenger’s side will earmark their trip to Chelsea on 4 February as an ideal opportunity to get back in the title race.

Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ after Arsenal’s 1-0 win against West Brom on Boxing Day, Parlour backed the Gunners to pick up 15 points from their next five games before their trip to Stamford Bridge.

“Allardyce will come to The Emirates and look to make it difficult. Bournemouth away – you’d expect them to get there and get a result,” Parlour said.

“Swansea away – we know what pressure they’re under. Burnley – I’m pleased it’s at home because away it would be a totally different game. Watford – you’d expect them to win. You’re looking at that and I’d put them down as five wins.”
