Report reveals Arsenal’s January transfer window plans
A report in The Telegraph claims that Arsene Wenger is not actively looking to make any new signings for Arsenal in January
Arsenal are not planning to make any significant signings in the January transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
The Telegraph is reporting that Arsene Wenger is not thinking to make any big-name additions to his squad in the new year despite the speculation beginning to mount ahead of the winter window.
The same story goes on to claim that Arsenal are hoping to be boosted by the return to action of Danny Welbeck and Santi Cazorla in the new year.
However, despite the report claiming that any big-name January signings look unlikely, it goes on to explain that Wenger could look to sign a new left-back in the summer, with Kieran Gibbs’ long-term future at The Emirates said to be in doubt.
Arsenal have made a strong start to the Premier League season and currently sit in second place in the table, three points behind leaders Chelsea after 14 games.
