Richard Keys criticises Jose Mourinho about treatment of Man United man: It’s a disgrace
Richard Keys was not at all impressed by how Jose Mourinho has treated Bastian Schweinsteiger this season
Richard Keys has hit out at Jose Mourinho for his treatment of Bastian Schweinsteiger at Manchester United this season.
The German midfielder has been frozen out for most of the campaign following Mourinho’s arrival at the club in the summer.
Schweinsteiger only recently made his first appearance for United this season after Mourinho seemingly changed his mind about the World Cup winner.
However, former Sky Sports presenter Keys was clearly not at all impressed by how Mourinho dealt with Schweinsteiger following his appointment as the club’s new manager back in May.
Writing in his personal blog, Keys said: “What he did to Schweinsteiger was a disgrace.
“OK, do you don’t want the fella at the club, so tell him to find another one and help that process. Why treat footballing royalty like he did?
“He later said it was a ‘human’ decision to involve the German again. As I said at the time – by his own admission that made his initial treatment ‘inhuman’.”
Manchester United return to Europa League action on Thursday night when they take on Zorya in their final group game.
Mourinho’s men have been under pressure in the last few weeks after only having won two of their last 10 Premier League games this season.
The Red Devils are sixth in the table heading into this weekend’s clash against Tottenham at Old Trafford.
