Rio Ferdinand reacts to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s performance in Man United’s 2-0 win at West Brom

The Manchester United legend believes Zlatan Ibrahimovic has emphatically answered his critics after Saturday evening's 2-0 win

Rio Ferdinand says Zlatan Ibrahimovic has emphatically answered questions surrounding his ability to adapt to the Premier League after the striker’s double in Manchester United’s 2-0 win at West Bromwich Albion.

The 35-year-old centre-forward broke the deadlock in the fifth minute with a close-range header to continue his impressive goal-scoring run at the Hawthorns Stadium in Saturday’s late kick-off in the Premier League.

Ibrahimovic extended the visitors’ lead in the 56th minute after the summer signing managed to outwit two defenders before firing his finish past former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster.

The former Sweden international has won top-flight titles in France, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain during a decorated club career.

And Ferdinand believes Ibrahimovic has put to bed any doubts surrounding his talent after his impressive double against the Baggies.

Ibrahimovic has scored 10 times in his last nine games in all competitions after netting just once in September and October.

The summer signing has now scored 10 times in 17 Premier League appearances this season.
