Robbie Savage makes frank admission about Chelsea in the title race

The former Leicester man can't see past Chelsea in the Premier League title race

Robbie Savage believes Chelsea have already wrapped up the Premier League title.

The Blues have won their last 12 Premier League games to leave Antonio Conte’s six points clear of Liverpool and a further point ahead of Manchester City after 18 fixtures.

The west London side were 3-0 winners against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day thanks to goals either side of half-time from Pedro Rodriguez and Eden Hazard’s penalty.

Chelsea have already beaten title rivals Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur during their 12-game winning run to underline their status as genuine title contenders.

Speaking on BBC’s 606 podcast after the Premier League fixtures on Boxing Day, Savage explained why he doesn’t expect Chelsea to slip up in the title race.

“You may as well give Chelsea the title now. They’re not going to be caught,” Savage said.

Antonio Conte took over the reins at Chelsea in the summer after their disappointing tenth-place finish last term.
