Roberto Firmino updates Liverpool fans about his future

Roberto Firmino is loving life at Liverpool and expects to stay at Anfield for many years

Roberto Firmino has said that he is thrilled with life at Liverpool and expects to stay at the club for many years.

The Brazilian attacker has been earning a reputation as one of the Premier League’s top talents since his arrival at the Merseyside club from Hoffenheim back in the summer of 2015.

Firmino has been a regular fixture in the Liverpool side this season and has helped Jurgen Klopp’s men establish themselves as one of the favourites to win the Premier League title this season.

The Reds’ 1-0 victory over Everton in Monday’s Merseyside derby clash left them in second place in the table and six points behind leaders Chelsea heading into the hectic festive period.

And Firmino has admitted that has been thrilled with how his first year has unfolded at Liverpool and envisages having a long career at Anfield.

Speaking in an interview with Liverpool FC magazine, Firmino said: “I think I have had to change the way I play. I was adapted to European football after playing in Germany for three years but English football is very different to the Bundesliga.

“You really notice that the Premier League is much, much faster – the pace is very high and you do need to adjust, but this is a type of football that I enjoy.

“Being really honest, I love it here and plan to stay for many years in the future as the Premier League is really competitive and tests you all the time.”
