Roy Keane talks up Tottenham partnership ahead of Man United trip

Roy Keane delivers his verdict on Tottenham duo Dele Alli and Harry Kane ahead of Manchester United's clash with Spurs

Roy Keane has admitted that he has been impressed by Dele Alli’s recent form for Tottenham and his partnership with Harry Kane up front.

Spurs are currently preparing for their Premier League trip to Manchester United on Sunday as they look to head into the hectic festive period in the top flight in good form.

Both Kane and Alli earned plenty of new admirers last season as they helped Spurs challenge for the title before they eventually ended up in third place in the table.

And former Manchester United midfielder Keane has admitted that he has been very impressed by what he has seen from Alli alongside Kane so far this term.

Speaking to ITV Sport on Wednesday night, Keane said: “He [Alli] is a good young player. Maybe his best position is just off the front.

“He’s obviously an intelligent boy and with Harry Kane up there next to him – not a bad partnership.”

Manchester United are preparing to host the Lilywhites at Old Trafford as they look to return to winning ways in the top flight.
