The Germany midfielder has been a regular fixture in the Arsenal team since his arrival at the north London club from Valencia in the summer transfer window.

Mustafi started Arsenal’s clash against Stoke City on Saturday but was forced off in the first half with an apparent muscular injury.

The seriousness of the problem will be assessed by the Arsenal medical staff in the coming days.

However, former Liverpool man Collymore feels that Mustafi has been a top addition to the Arsenal side.

Collymore tweeted:

Arsenal’s win, thanks to goals from Theo Walcott, Mesut Ozil and Alex Iwobi, lifted the Gunners up to the top of the Premier League table on goals scored.

The Gunners take on Everton in their next top flight game on Tuesday night at Goodison Park.
