Thierry Henry makes claim about Man United in the title race

Thierry Henry says Manchester United could still haul themselves back into the title race this season

Thierry Henry believes that Manchester United are still capable of hauling themselves back into the race for the Premier League title this season.

The Red Devils have struggled to find consistent form under their new manager Jose Mourinho following his appointment as the club’s new boss in the summer.

Indeed, United have only won three of their last 10 Premier League games to leave them off the pace in the race for the title.

However, Arsenal legend Henry feels that the Red Devils have a chance to haul themselves back into contention if they can find some solid form during the hectic festive period in the Premier League.

Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Monday morning, former Arsenal star Henry said: “Mourinho looks like he’s getting there with his team.

“I always say that if you don’t put the ball in the back of the net, that’s going to be trouble.

“f they start to do that then maybe they can come back into the fight for the title.

“At the moment they’re a bit far from it, but who knows what can happen?”

Manchester United finished fifth and won the FA Cup last season under Louis van Gaal before the Red Devils opted to sack the Dutchman and bring in Mourinho back in May.
