Michael Owen states his prediction for Tottenham v Burnley

Michael Owen looks ahead to Tottenham's clash with Burnley this weekend

Michael Owen is backing Tottenham to coast to victory over Burnley in the Premier League at White Hart Lane this weekend.

Spurs head into the game on the back of their 3-0 win over Hull City in midweek as Mauricio Pochettino’s men bounced back from the disappointment of their 1-0 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend.

Tottenham are aiming to climb the Premier League table and break back into the top four over the festive period as Pochettino’s side look to go one better than their third-placed finish last season.

And former Liverpool striker Owen cannot see beyond a Tottenham win at White Hart Lane on Sunday in what will be the club’s final game before the Christmas break.

Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “Burnley continue to struggle on the road and I can’t see them getting anything at White Hart Lane.

“The Clarets play fellow strugglers Boro and Sunderland at Turf Moor over the Festive period and Sean Dyche will be well aware their home form is the key to their survival hopes.”

Tottenham were Leicester City’s closest challengers for the title for most of last season but ended up being pipped to second place by Arsenal on the final day of the campaign.
