Paul Merson states his prediction for Tottenham v Burnley

Paul Merson is expecting Tottenham to seal a 3-0 victory over Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon

Paul Merson is tipping Tottenham to coast to a 3-0 victory over Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Lilywhites head into the game looking to build on their victory over Hull City in midweek.

That 3-0 win over the Tigers was a welcome result for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, who were beaten 1-0 by Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend.

Spurs will be keen to win their final game before Christmas at White Hart Lane ahead of the hectic festive period in the Premier League.

And former Arsenal star Merson is tipping the Lilywhites to get the job done against Burnley on Sunday afternoon.

Writing in his column for Sky Sports, Merson said: “I have seen a lot of Burnley this season, and they just can’t get going away from home.

“It is a different story at home, but on the road they haven’t been at it. I don’t know what it is, as they will give anyone a game at home.

“Tottenham looked much better the other night and have Harry Kane back and playing well. Nothing other than a Tottenham win here.”
