Watch: Santi Cazorla sends heartfelt message to Arsenal fans after latest injury blow

Santi Cazorla reacts to his latest injury blow after it is confirmed the Arsenal midfielder will need an ankle operation

Santi Cazorla has thanked Arsenal fans for their support after the midfielder suffered a fresh injury blow on Friday afternoon.

The Spain international has only managed to make seven starts in the Premier League after an injury-hit 2016-17 campaign so far.

Cazorla hasn’t featured for the north London side since a 6-0 victory over Ludogorets in the Champions League in October.

The 31-year-old midfielder missed their Premier League clashes against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur due to injury.

However, Cazorla is set to undergo an operation on his ankle that is expected to rule him out of action for at least two months.

The Spanish midfielder missed seven months of the 2015-16 season with a knee problem as Arsenal finished in second place in the table.

And Cazorla posted the above video on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption after his injury setback:

“It’s a pleasure to feel your support! Thank you! #twomonthtobeback! @arsenal @premierleague”

Arsenal finished 10 points behind champions Leicester City in the Premier League title race last term.
