Willian updates Chelsea fans about his future at the club
Willian says he hopes to stay at Chelsea for many years and fight for his place at the club
Willian has insisted that he hopes to stay at Chelsea for many years and says he feels happy in London.
The 28-year-old has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s top attacking talents since his arrival at the club from Anzhi Makhachkala back in the summer of 2013.
Indeed, Willian was widely regarded to be Chelsea’s standout performer last season in what was otherwise a campaign to forget, as the Blues ended up 10th in the table, without a trophy and with their title defence in tatters.
Chelsea have been in much improved form this season following the appointment of Antonio Conte as the club’s new manager, with the Blues now six points clear at the top of the table heading into the hectic festive period.
And Willian says that he wants to stay and fight for a place at Chelsea despite being limited to eight starts in the club’s 17 Premier League games this term.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Willian said: “I like to play for Chelsea and I like to live in London.
“My family like it as well so I hope I can stay here many years. I think the best moments of my career are coming up.”
