Zlatan Ibrahimovic comments on reported Man United transfer target

Zlatan Ibrahimovic says Victor Lindelof could be ready for the step up to one of Europe's top clubs

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has talked up Victor Lindelof and says that the defender is ready to test himself at one of Europe’s top clubs.

Manchester United have been linked with a bid for the Swedish centre-back as the January transfer window approaches and Jose Mourinho considers bolstering his squad at Old Trafford.

Mourinho will have one eye on the January transfer window as he looks to further strengthen his squad at Old Trafford following his appointment as the club’s new manager back in the summer.

It has been something of a mixed start to life at Manchester United for Mourinho but the Red Devils have begun to find their feet in recent weeks and have won their last three Premier League games on the spin.

Ibrahimovic played alongside Benfica man Lindelof for the Swedish national team and the striker feels that he could be ready for the step up to one of Europe’s top clubs.

Ibrahimovic is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “He is growing. He has a lot of responsibility with the national team now.

“Is he good enough for United? I think he is ready for the big clubs out there.

“It is up to him what he wants and what the situation says. Whatever he chooses, it will be good for him.
