Zlatan Ibrahimovic: What I can do to help Marcus Rashford at Man United
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is hoping to help Marcus Rashford improve his game at Manchester United
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is hoping that he can help Marcus Rashford improve his game at Manchester United by bringing his experience to the table.
The Swedish striker is getting used to life in the Premier League following his arrival at Old Trafford from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in the summer.
At 35 years old, Ibrahimovic is one of the most experienced players in the Premier League and has plied his trade across Europe during his decorated career.
And the veteran forward is hoping that his experience in the game will help the likes of Rashford to improve and develop at Old Trafford.
Speaking to MUTV before Manchester United’s clash with Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, Ibrahimovic said: “I try to help in every way I can with my experience and the goals will come. Goals are extra, a bonus lets say.
“If I score then I help the team, but I think I can help in many ways and this is the experience thing. Marcus is a young player, his career has just begun and I am towards the end of my career.
“I try to help in many ways without the ball, with the ball, with movements, by communicating, by sacrificing. It is part of the game and as a player I want to be as complete as possible, so this is one of the things I have been trying to do.”
Manchester United are looking to break back into the top four this season following their fifth-placed finish in the top flight last term.
United won the FA Cup and finished fifth under Louis van Gaal last season.
