Alex Iwobi sends Arsenal title warning to Chelsea

Alex Iwobi warns Chelsea that Arsenal are ready to capitalise on any slip-ups from the Blues

Alex Iwobi has warned Chelsea that Arsenal are ready to capitalise on any slip-ups by Chelsea in the Premier League title race.

The Blues are currently gearing up for their crunch clash against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night as they bid to make it 14 wins in a row in the Premier League.

Chelsea are leading the way at the top of the Premier League table and have firmly established themselves as the favourites to win the title this season.

Iwobi scored Arsenal’s second goal in their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at The Emirates in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

And the Arsenal midfielder admits that he and his team-mates are hoping that Chelsea slip up in the title race in the coming weeks.

Iwobi was quoted as saying by The Daily Express before Arsenal’s clash with Bournemouth on Tuesday night: “Hopefully if Chelsea slip up, they slip up but we have to make sure we win to keep up the title race.

“The games are coming thick and fast; we just have to prepare the same.

“We have got the momentum, we are confident now and hopefully we can keep up our winning streak.

“I’m just trying to do the best I can. If the team does well that is the main thing.”
