Antonio Conte delivers his verdict on what he has seen from Nathan Ake at Chelsea so far this season

Antonio Conte has declared Nathan Ake as ready to play for Chelsea following his return to the Stamford Bridge club from his loan spell at Bournemouth.

The Dutch defender impressed during the first half of the season on loan to Eddie Howe’s side and earned plenty of praise for his performances for the Cherries.

Ake returned to Chelsea earlier this month after Conte opted to bring the defender back to Stamford Bridge early from his loan spell.

And Conte has delivered his verdict on what he has seen from Ake following his return to the west London club this month.

Conte is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “I’ve evaluated the situation, he is good reinforcement for us.

“He can play in different positions. In two years he has improved a lot and now he is ready to play for Chelsea.

“It is the second week he is with us and I’m pleased to have him.”

Chelsea are currently gearing up for their Premier League clash against Hull City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
