Playing the first game of 2017 in the Premier League, Spurs took the lead through Harry Kane in the 27th minute, before the England striker netted a second six minutes later.

The win lifted Tottenham up into third place in the Premier League table ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
And former Tottenham star Ardiles was delighted to see the Lilywhites take all three points.
