Arsenal earmark Juventus midfielder as Santi Cazorla replacement – report
Arsenal want Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic to replace injury-prone Santi Cazorla, say reports
Arsene Wenger has earmarked Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic as a potential replacement for Arsenal’s injury-prone playmaker Santi Cazorla, according to reports in the media.
The Sun are reporting that Arsenal are lining up a £28m offer for the Bosnia midfielder with a view to a potential move in the summer transfer window as opposed to making the switch in January.
The same article states that Wenger has called Pjanic to sound the midfielder out about a potential move to the north London side in the event that Cazorla opts to leave The Emirates.
Pjanic moved to Juventus in a £25m deal from their bitter rivals Roma last summer and the Bosnian has already established himself as a key member of Massimiliano Allegri’s side.
The 26-year-old has scored five times and has made four assists in 13 appearances in Serie A so far this term.
Cazorla has endured an injury-ravaged 2016-17 campaign so far which has limited the Spanish midfielder to just seven starts in the Premier League.
