Arsenal keeping tabs on prolific Serie A goal-scorer amid Alexis Sanchez uncertainty – report
Arsenal are monitoring Andrea Belotti but could be put off by his price tag, according to reports
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is monitoring Torino striker Andrea Belotti despite concerns about the striker’s £50m price tag, according to reports in England.
The Sun are reporting that the Arsenal manager has been keeping tabs on the Italian striker after his prolific start to the 2016-17 Serie A season.
The Gunners boss wants to strengthen his options up front amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding Alexis Sanchez’s future at the north London club.
The same article states that Wenger isn’t willing to pay £50m for Belotti in the January transfer window despite being an admirer of the centre-forward.
Belotti has scored 13 times and has made three assists in 16 Serie A appearances this season – only Mauro Icardi has scored more goals than the Torino man this term.
Arsenal came from 3-0 down to rescue a 3-3 draw with Bournemouth in the Premier League on Tuesday night thanks to Olivier Giroud’s added-time equaliser.
The France striker has scored three times in his last three Premier League outings for the north London side.
